DESCRIPTION:Cardiovascular Health and Aging: The Masters Athlete\nWe would like to invite you to join us on Wednesday\, May 25th\, at Fortius Sport and Health for a SportsCardiologyBC education seminar on Cardiovascular Health and Aging: The Masters Athlete. SportsCardiologyBC is a Vancouver Coastal Health clinical and research program that has risen as a national leader in this specialized area of medicine since its inception in 2010 through the evaluation of thousands of recreational\, elite and professional level athletes.  \nTopics will include: Preliminary finding and analysis of our ongoing 5-year longitudinal study in screening for cardiovascular disease in the Masters athlete (>35)\, atrial fibrillation and exercise dose-response\, benefits and limitations of physical activity as well as updates on SportsCardiologyBC including milestones and future goals. \nOur expert panel of speakers will consist of: Dr. Saul Isserow\, Dr. Brett Heilbron\, Dr. James McKinney and Barbara Morrison.  \n\n\nDoors open at 5:30pm\, food and light refreshments will be provided. The speaker presentations and panel discussion will occur from 6:30pm-8:00pm.\n\n\n\n
