SUMMARY:SportsCardiologyBC Seminar - "Health and Athletics"
DESCRIPTION:Come join SportsCardiologyBC for our upcoming free education event in which we will have our experts from the medical and research fields discuss important concepts in Sports Medicine\, foundational research in the area of Sports Cardiology and exciting new directions the program will be taking.  \nTopics will include common sports injuries\, the risk-benefit paradox in ultra-endurance athletes\, preliminary findings from SCBC’s young competitive athlete screening study and a discussion of future projects for the program.  \nOur expert speakers and panel will consist of: \nDr. Saul Isserow\, Dr. Jack Taunton\, Dr. Brett Heilbron\, Dr. Darren Warburton\, and Dr. Hamed Nazzari \nDoors open at 5:30pm\, food and light refreshments will be provided. The speaker presentations and panel discussion will occur from 6:30pm-8:00pm. \nParking is available for free in front of Fortius.
