Education Goals
SportsCardiologyBC will meet its education goals by:
- Providing education to BC physicians through the BC colleges using the mandatory vehicles of CMEs (Continuing Medical Education credits)
- Developing a sub-specialty of sports cardiology and offering a residency program in collaboration with the University of British Columbia
- Holding in-services and education sessions for coaches, parents, trainers and athletes; AED training and importance will be emphasized
- Developing and providing easy to understand posters and brochures for distribution at sporting meets and large sporting venues
- Having a well publicized web presence for easy public access to information
- Emergency Action Plan (EAP) creation and implementation
